What was it like growing up in 1920s Germany?

I'm writing a short story about WWII and I'm trying to get an idea what it was like for a boy to grow-up in Nuremberg Germany in the 1920s. I know all about the runaway inflation and the high unemployment. I want to know how many families could afford cars, radios, and what they did for fun.
