Was Dresden and the other countries bombed in WWII paid back for what happened?

When a nation invades another and begins a war, they can count on getting bombed. They are bombing and killing others, who didn't start it. You don't get paid back if you start a war and some of your cities get bombed. You're lucky if you don't get hanged if you do that, let alone paid back anything. Sheesh - do you understand what happened there? They would have killed your parents and grandparents. You too, if you were alive. And guess what - they wouldn't have paid you back. They would have stolen your house, your job, your very country. Stolen it. Occupied it. And killed anyone who stood up to them. You don't pay someone back after that like they delivered ten flowers instead of a dozen. They tried to kill you and your whole country. It may be too big an idea yet, but that's it.
